final reminders
1. PLEASE HAVE DETAIL ITEMS GATHERED FOR ME SO I CAN GET A SHOT OF ALL THOSE DURING GETTING READY TIME
(This list is extensive so I don’t expect you to have all of these items!)

EXTRA GREENS OR LOOSE FLOWERS***
ROSARY
RING BOXES
* These are often forgotten and are necessary if you want a pretty pic of your wedding dress or if you want florals in your detail shots!
*** Have your florist toss in loose flowers or greens that fell off as they were arranging your bouquets. Ask your florist if they’d be willing to drop off flowers in multiple locations, & if so, have them bring these to your getting ready space so they can be in your detail shots! Otherwise, I’d recommend having all other flowers delivered directly to the ceremony venue.
(Honestly toss em in a shoebox to keep it all clean and together!)

Here are a few more detail shot examples so you can get an idea of what you’d like to be in yours!
You can make it as unique and personal as you’d like.
2. MORNING OF: WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER. AVOID WEIRD BRA, WATCH, & SOCK LINES
Don’t wear a bra while getting ready. This will avoid any lines on your back!
Don’t wear any ponytails, scrunchies, or watches around your wrist. This would avoid any lines on your wrist!
Don’t wear socks!!! These will avoid weird lines on your ankles!
PRO TIP: Make sure you’re wearing something with buttons so you don’t have to pull any shirt or dress over your cute makeup & hair!
3. STEAM ALL YOUR DRESSES THE NIGHT BEFORE. LEAVE TOUCH-UPS FOR MORNING-OF
Steaming dresses takes way longer than people realize, so this will save time in the morning & leave you less stressed!
4. Delegate while you’re getting ready!
Delegate someone (an attendant, but NOT your mom or a bridesmaid!) to run random tasks for you throughout the morning (i.e. getting coffee, grabbing things from your house, etc.)
Give your phone to someone to screen your calls/texts throughout the morning!
5. AT SOME POINT IN THE MORNING, TAKE A DEEP BREATH & LOOK AT YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR.
You’ll look beautiful! Let yourself soak it all in!
6. ASK YOUR OFFICIANT TO MOVE. NIcely.
Week-of, day before, in the moment- literally whenever you can- ask your officiant to step to the side for your first kiss!
(We’re glad they’re there, but they don’t need to be a part of this moment)
Maybe even put a little piece of tape on the ground to mark where the center is! And make sure you both know to move to the center!
7. STOP HALFWAY DOWN THE AISLE AS YOU WALK OUT OF THE CHURCH & KISS AGAIN! IT’LL MAKE FOR A GORGEOUS PHOTO
8. IF YOU’RE DOING ANY TYPE OF EXIT, DITCH YOUR BOUQUET SO IT DOESN’T GET IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE IN THE SHOT!
Or at least make sure to keep your bouquet down so it doesn’t cover your or your beloved’s face!
9. PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE LUNCH FOR ME AS WELL WHEN ORDERING!
I’m not picky but I’ll be with you all day so I’d really appreciate it!
PRO TIP: Jimmy Johns is a great option for lunch - it’s def a crowd pleaser and easy to eat on-the-go!
10. BE SURE YOU AND THE BRIDAL PARTY ALL HAVE WATER BOTTLES THROUGHOUT THE DAY!
11. MAJOR PRO TIP??? HAVE FOOD, WATER, SNICKY SNACKS, AND DRANKS FOR THE BRIDAL PARTY FOR AFTER THE CEREMONY BEFORE PICTURES!!
Hanger and dehydration is v hard to work with during photos
12. bring snacks for any kids that might be in pics
Meltdowns are classic post-ceremony happenings
13. Kiss while you cut your cake!
It makes for a super gorgeous photo.
14. Editing Timeline
The editing process will take me at least 5 weeks. Depending on the number of photographs, the nature of the editing, and my current editing load, it may take longer! Although I attempt to stay as close to this timeline as possible, 5 weeks is an estimate.
At the 5 week mark, a more accurate timeline will be communicated to you if the photos are not ready by this date.
15. FINAL THINGS TO REMEMBER
Smile when you walk down the aisle!
Your dress is amazing (I haven’t even seen it and I’m sure) and more than likely cost quite a bit, but please remember it will be getting dirty throughout the day! Specifically the train and especially if it’s long! I only say this because some brides are surprised to see it the day of! We will fight to make sure it stays as clean as possible but I hope you feel even a little freer knowing this going into the day.
This day is going to be so fun and so beautiful, and literally every single person here is here for you so just enjoy the day and take in all the love!
I hope this helps for all your prepping :) Rachel & I will be praying for you as you get everything ready for your wedding day! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
